Hi. I’m Thomas Potteiger – the Owner-operator of TAP Home Pros.

I’ve been working on houses for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of being on a new home build with my dad being the “gopher,” as he called it (“Go for” this tool or “Go for” these types of nails), bringing him nails, wires, tools, and anything else he needed. Or watching him re-roof a house and eventually experiencing the excitement of him bringing me up onto the roof with him (with the understanding that we don’t need to tell Mommy about this ).

My father taught me the love of working with my hands and the satisfaction of seeing something you built come together for an amazing result.

Fast forward many years, and I started doing handyman work professionally in 2015, fixing a family friend’s rental properties. Since then, I called myself a serial entrepreneur trying a few different types of businesses (ask me about my axe-throwing business failure), but always seemed to either stick with or come back to handyman and contracting work.

I am blessed to have married my high school sweetheart, Katie, nine years ago and have since been blessed with three beautiful little girls. They are why I work so hard and strive to improve daily.

As a family, we enjoy anything outdoors, from picnics to camping in our pop-up to spending time with our animals on our small homestead. We raise goats for milk and goat milk soap, chickens for meat, and baking/cooking homemade wholesome food. The Lord has indeed blessed me with the skills to work with my hands and a beautiful family for which I’m thankful.
